The Hemkund Sahib is a religious place of Sikhs. That is situated in Uttrakhand. It is situated 4.329 metre above the sea level. Here is seven hills which is covered with snow, which is known as the name of Hemkund hill. It is to be said that here was a temple, which was built by Lord Rama’s younger brother Lakshman. This temple is important pilgrim of Sikhs. Sikhs 10th Guru Govind Singh has done prayer here and it is the myth that Guru Govind Singh get inspiration here to write ‘Guru Granth Sahib’ there after here was built the Gurudwara. This Gurudwara was built like a star.

The reflection of the snow covered hills which is surround the holy pilgrim is seems too lively in the huge lake. The water is come in this lake from Elephant Mountain and Saptrishi Mountain. The small water line is flowed from this lake is called Himganga. This lake is changed into ice almost seven month in a year because of situated on height. So, it is also known as the Snow Lake. Hawaldar Sohan Singh Ji get the credit to find the Hemkund Sahib. The Hemkund Sahib is too famous that thousands of people has come here for prayer and make there life success, due to bad weather and lots of difficulties at the month of July to October and never forget this holy and adventures journey.

The person gets rid of his sins after the seeing Gurudwara, Sarovar and the prayer place of Guru Govind Singh ji. The Laxman temple, situated near the lake is also holy and important temple. The valley of flower is nearest to this temple is also the adventures tourist place.
